The Greensboro Campground has been a fixture in Greensboro for over 25 years. For the first decade of its existence, the Campground operated as a locally owned KOA franchise. It was generally known as simply "the KOA". In 1996, ties with KOA were dropped and the Campground operated as the Greensboro Campground, or GCI. It is currently managed under the direction of Ashley Fisher and on-site manager Michael Way.
Because of the geographical location of Greensboro, the town and the campground are not generally recognized as destination points in themselves. The Campground and town are, however, perfectly located along Interstates 85 and 40 and are ideal stopovers for East/West and North/South travelors who go through our area.
